Thank You!
There
is one person above all others who deserves recognition for the support that she gives to us and David. My mother. I won't
mention her by name, but many of you know her already. Without her support, we would be lost. She has become an integral
part of this ordeal. Her love is unconditional and complete. There is no way we could ever hope to thank her adequately
for all that she has done, is doing, and will do. So I will quote Ruth 2:12" The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward
be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust."

In time, this page may fill up quite a bit. We have
many many people and organizations to thank. First of all, we thank God for our daily existence and the strength to carry
on. There are many individuals we would like to thank. But we will not do so here ... out of a respect for their privacy.
But ... the following people are recipients of our undying thanks and gratitude:
(1) Mary DeFeudis
(2) The
SBI Folks -- Dr Shahinian (the Count), Roxy, Denise (also of Jadicom)
(3) Those of you who have continued to pray,
meditate, burn candles, chant, etc. for David and our family. There is no real way we can thank you for this. It is a force
that has continued to sustained us in our darkest moments.
(4) Those of you who have sent little messages to David
and/or us via email or the guestbook. These have been greatly appreciated.
(5) Everyone who has made a donation to
the Cancer Fund to help cover the costs of David's treatments, medications, and other ongoing expenses related to his cancer.
(6) Everyone who has popped in the hospital and given us a chance to step out for air, go down to the cafeteria or
something .. a break from the room. Thanks.
(7) The maternal grandparents. Sounds lame. But I don't want to mention
names any more than necessary. They have been a wonderful source of support and encouragement throughout this ordeal.
(8)
Auntie K. Thanks for coming on strong with surprises here and there.
(9) The Today Show -- Especially Matt and Campbell
(10)
The Ellen Degeneres Show and staff -- especially Ellen, Jason, Erin, Beth, and Vikki.
(11) Universal Studios Hollywood
staff -- especially Tony, Becca, Syd, Frankenstein, and the Super Heroes
(12) Medieval Times -- especially Janeen
(13)
The Greatest Band on Earth -- KISS, Paul Stanely, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer, and Eric Singer

Society -- Especially Josh
(15) Cedar Point -- Especially Bryan, Tony, and Bev
(14) The Sarcoma Foundation --
Especially Stacey
(16) All of our local media people -- Especially Leef, Kathy, Emily, and Wendy
Please know

For all the organizations that have helped us along
(and to all the individuals involved in those organizations):
(1) Sully Elementary PTO. David's school has been a
great source of support. This ranges far and wide. The PTO was so kind that they made meals for my older kids and brought
them over to the house a couple of times a week. This was a source of relief to us while we were spending all of our time
in the hospital. We didn't have to worry about whether the older children would get to eat anything appropriate. Many thanks
PTO! Other than the PTO itself, many parents and families have lent their support and prayers to us through emails, guestbook
comments, phone calls, etc.
(2) Sully Elementary staff. We have had great support from the staff as well, ranging
from the former Prinipal and former assistant Principal on down. And from the Loudoun County School Board as well. Many
thanks to all.
(3) The nurses, doctors, and counselors of the Oncology Group and the Pediatric Hem/Onc section of the
Fairfax Hospital. We love you guys. Thanks for all you do for David and us!
(4) The Children's Cancer Society.
(5)
The parents and children that we have met and befriended in Peds Hem/Onc. It's nice to talk to people who have first hand
knowledge of what it is we are going through. Just seeing some of the kids and/or parents on a regular basis at the hospital
or in the oncology group office makes it feel like a small family of sorts. Our hearts and prayers go out for them as well.
(6)
The staff of the Loudoun Times Mirror. Thank you for running an article on David.
(7) Christian Fellowship Church.
This church has spent a lot of time praying for David (and thanks to all the other churches that are doing the same!). And
they have provided him with a wheelchair for the duration of his treatment. Many thanks to all involved. They have additionally
held a donations offering that will be going into David's cancer fund. CFC has been a solid foundation of support throughout
this ordeal.
(8) Curves of Ashburn. Many thanks for running a silent auction as a fund raiser to help cover David's
mounting medical bills. Your love and outreach are greatly appreciated.
(9) Make-A-Wish Foundation. Many thanks for
making David's wish come true in such grand fashion. The day was amazing!
(10) All of our escorts, Fairfax County
Police, Capitol Police, and Park Police who volunteered for this day. The Humvee drivers who also volunteered to drive the
chariots. Thanks also to the 3rd Infantry (The Old Guard) of Ft Myer for providing us with two of their finest soldiers as
escorts and helpers.
(11) The Willard Internation Hotel Management and Staff. Thank you for honoring David by allowing
him to light the tree this year.
(12) Toys R Us. Thanks for putting up with an entourage of people, helping us get
in an out of there without incident and giving David a gift on his way out.
(13) Hasbro. Thanks for making the one-of-a-kind
Chemo Joe for David. The end product is wonderful!
(14) PAL. People Animals Love.
(15) Loudoun County Animal
Shelter and Animal Control.
